It is December 1st! Where is the year going?!?!?

That means the holidays are here and if not on guard, I can check list the holidays off like it’s a race to “get through” OR I can intentionally celebrate it as God intended.
This blog is littered with checklists because well…my mind is littered with em’! I’m a natural “to-do’er”. I’ve joyfully crafted tons o’ checklists: Health checklist, Friendship Checklist, Self Talk Checklist, The Things I Have Control Over List, and the lists could go on and on…and that would be just fine with me! ![]()
During my private time today, I prepared a different kind of list. One I’d like some help with. It’s my “To Don’t” list:

“It’s Christmas Time -The To Don’t List”:
Facebook my friend – call instead! ![]()
Wrap a gift with a rushed-negative heart! ![]()
Eat a Christmas cookie alone. They’re always sweeter with a friend! ![]()
Be rude to the people that are in the Christmas card picture while stuffing the Christmas cards! ![]()
Allow the person that steals my parking spot (the blinker told you it was mine!) steal my joy. No, I’ll confuse em’…I’ll smile and wave like we’re friends! ![]()
Buy anything that I don’t have enough money to! ![]()
Forget the best present ever!

What are some of the items on your “It’s Christmas To Don’t” checklist?

The body is more than clothes. I will not fret because I don’t have the perfect Christmas attire for parties and/or church.
Amen to that Girl!
LOVE YOU!
Thanks for the reminder of why we celebrate this holiday! I haven’t started shopping yet … and who knows what the kids even want so far … the THINGS are insignificant. Enjoy!
Right on girl!!!!!! Health, family, God and love are what REALLY matters!!!!
I am NOT running around No. VA looking for the one impossible toy that Josie wants for Christmas. As much as I would like to get her what she wants and keep the magic alive I will not spend the time, gas or wear and tear on my car so that I can witness people fighting over an $8 toy!! Much the same way we don’t need another lego and another light saber is just so unnecessary!! I think we can pull off a magical fun filled Christmas the way it was intended to be and if my kids are disappointed…well, that means I’ve been doing something wrong.
Well that sure is a good “To Don’t” to add to the list right there Linda! And I keep forgetting to tell you, as this morning was slide #2…you know Josie’s a smiler/waver at the morning bus stop. Alex however is not…the boy is CRACKING ME UP! We made eye contact again, he stoically and s-l-o-w-l-y turned his head forward and slid down his seat and inch by inch, Alex melted away much like Frosty when the heat was turned up by that mean dude – I way CRACKING up! Your kids SO have your sense of humor (Alex) and Mayor-ness (Josie)!
