I’m all distracted this morning. A “major” decision hovers over me…and I just can’t get it together. What I thought was going to be my blog post today, isn’t all because well…like I just wrote, I’m distracted.
Last night I went to a bridal boutique. No, the Finkster and I aren’t getting married again, but my dear friend of over 15 years, Stacey, is. For years, we prayed for Mr. Right and Mr. Right is here! (What’s not to love, he’s an Irish cop from Jersey baby!) Despite being completely biased, he really is a great guy!
Well, Stacey’s being one of those brides. No, not bridezilla…she’s being one of those really easy to get along with brides. She’s letting her bridesmaids pick from a collection, whichever dress style we like. We’ll pick our style out and all be in floor length mocha colored chiffon. Oooohhh, la, la; I feel glamorous just typing “floor length mocha colored chiffon ‘!
I came home and started to download information on the Finkster. I showed him pictures, we talked numbers, boob-age concerns, keyster coverage, and of course “the pooch”, how are “we” going to cover “the pooch”. All I can write is that the Finkster tried ladies, he tried really hard…but the man can handle only so much.
In all fairness, Bella was on the other side of town waiting for pictures and ready to tag Dave out of the ring.
In all fairness to Dave, I have taken to ruthlessly bombarding Bella, Nancy and Mary’s inboxes about this decision…because I know they love me and will tell me the truth.
All I can say is this.
Please, help them. Help them get me off their back and out of their email inboxes with pictures and questions, oh, the questions…they have jobs to work at and children to raise, and laundry to do…but not until the dress gets picked!)
I’m crazed, distracted and letting you know right now…the fate of “the girls” are in your hands. Bella, Nancy and Mary have done the hard part and narrowed it down to three. Would you please vote which bridesmaid dress you like best:
#1, #2, or #3.
1
2
3
On behalf of bride Stacey, my mental health and the quality of life (and emails) for The Finkster, Bella, Nancy and Mary – THANK YOU! ![]()

Wow Steph, I am just now getting caught up with your blog, but I wouldn’t have been any help with this one anyway – are these dresses different???
Love ya!
#3. I picked it BEFORE I read everyone else’s comments. Thank GOD I am not having to choose one of these dresses to fit on MY girls and hind-end. However, YOU, dahling, will look gorgeous!
Wow lots of fashion experts on this blog. I think Lisa laid out the options beautifully, so I vote for #3. You’ll look fabulous. And I want pics too!
Ok, here’s my two cents…go with number 3 – very pretty and you will look so beautiful in it. And dont forget, any dress looks better with some big hair
We are all expecting a post with you in the floor length, mocha colored delight. Isnt dressing up fun!
I just want to see you laying around at home waiting
for Dave in Dress #1
OK Steph – I’ve got you covered. As an up and coming “fashionista” I can tell you DEFINITIVELY:
But it’s up to you. #1 would be a close second and if it’s cheaper…..
#2 – NOT FOR YOU – this style is best for a boyish figure, ie: slim hips and no chest ie: ME.
#1 – NO if you’re worried about a pooch b/c it seems to have more of an empire waist which is good for people with a smaller chest and larger hips maybe but you’re proportional so…
YOU REALLY WANT TO GO WITH #3 – I think you’ll look HOT in it!
One and three look the same to me, the model in 2 looks like her hip has been thrown out and needs surgery! Ok, but I like the bust line of 1. Go for the good price, and not too low cut, and yes, get that booby tape they sell for the stars, it will help you feel more in the dress. Hugs! Cal has a big weekend with not one but 2 class projects! Have fun!
Ok so we both know I don’t wear dresses, the last time I can remember wearing a dress was my high school prom(Which i know wasn’t a long time ago in your world lol) but I would have to say the style of #3 is the best with the color of #2. Any way you go it will be beautiful
..hope that helps
remember with fondness for you when you helped ME make that decision–so I am more than happy to return the favor! I like simple and I think three, the neckline would be most flatting to all who would wear it–all sizes–I love that the halter look is back in–it’s so elegant! what color will it be?
My vote is for number 2. All are beautful dresses and Steph you would look amazing in any one.
Oh for goodness sakes–what am I –a BOY? They look the same…with TINY differences…sheesh…Id pick number 3 if I was shopping myself
Go with #3. It will work well with Spanx, tape on bra cups and it looks like you could shorten it to a fun flirty length for your next cruise with the Finkster….two dresses for the price of one
Stef,
Yes, Stacey was really nice.
I vote for #3. The “girls” will be well taken care of. You will fabulous in any of those anyway.
i like number 3
#3 is most gorgeous…is there a detailing band around the waist as w/ 1 too? It seems like it has one but it is a bit lower then 1…
I can see the models pooches on 1+2 btw…just so you know, many think pooch is sexy so you can’t miss on this..
Ok..I’ll throw in my vote! As your oldest friend I say #2! Hollywood tape will keep the dress where you want it (You can get it at Sally Beauty Supply – it worked for JLo in Versace) And if you’re seriously worried about a pooch..SPANX!!!! They will HIDE any sins! And with that tight body of yours there are no sins to hide. Oh and we need pics of you in the final decision.
Kisses!!!
I pick 3 as well. Can I put my big man hands around the tiny models neck though? I think I see her hip bones sticking out. I won’t hurt her, I’ll just push some air back into her deflated body.
You are gonna be one hot mama!!!
Whoa – these are all some hot numbers! My untrained eye says go with number 1. I like the detailing around the waist.
Regarding “the Pooch” – which you have none – When I got married, the seamstress took in the dress too much around my waist. I couldn’t believe it. I was so self conscious that I made them take it back out again. She did tell me that “I could just put my bou-ket (bouquet) in front of it.” This is now a long standing joke in my family whenever were taking pictures!!
I’m sure you’ll look great in whatever you where!
It’s between 1 and 3. Now, I pick 1 because you can actually see a good up close and I think that the ribbing below the bust line will draw eyes there instead of the “pooch” (which by the way I have no idea is on you).
Either way you’ll look stunning!!!
I vote for #3-and wonder if you have to pose like all the pictures when you wear the dresses? Keep us posted on results
Steph, my vote is for #3. It’s a lovely shape, and not too revealing–’the girls’ should be well-showcased without showing too much!
